Truss plan to block solar farms is deeply unpopular – so why is she so keen? | Solar power

  1. Prolly something related to a possible decrease in food production if farmers were to go full solar farm.

The UK doesn’t have a lot of agreements for food imports after Brexit and shits gotten expensive for what I’ve heard.

  2. Wind much better than solar in this country. You can install turbines that’ll also have the benefit of generating electricity 24hrs a day and you still get to be able to use most of the fields they’re in for crops/livestock. Solar farms are fine on land that you can’t do anything with but it’s stupid putting them on fields that can support crops when you could put up wind turbines instead.

  3. Isn’t it socialist to decide what free enterprise wants to invest in or not? If a farmer wants to plant potatoes or solar pannels, should he not have free choice.

  4. Fossil fuel companies receive a total of $5.3tn in global annual government subsidies. A portion of that money is speaking through her.
