  1. They probably spent half that amount on the original advertising saying it was a price cap at £2500 then had to spend the same amount again correcting the fact that Truss doesn’t have the slightest clue what she’s talking about.

  2. Almost £1bn for Tory propaganda.

Meanwhile £18bn or so is being cut from public spending (social care, schools, NHS, police, roads, kitchen sink) all so that the fat bankers can get even fatter at our expense.

And people will still vote for this. Over and over again. Crazy.

  3. Almost 1bn that could have been spent on actions not words.

How many Billboard companies are Tory Donors?

    Edit. Tonys need not worry

  4. How on earth can they even spend that amount of money, I mean honestly what are they buying that could possibly cost orders of magnitude more than the leave campaign? The only answer I can possibly think of is that most of it is being spent on consultancy fees paid to friendly donors. I mean at close to a billion pounds its more than three times Reebok’s global advertising / marketing spend and around 70% of Adidas’, and its just the UK!

  5. If that’s true it’s hilarious. The US has been hard on QT since December last year and they’re only starting to feel the pinch, meanwhile we’ve been spending billions upon billions on politics alone, and are now to enter in the winter grossly unprepared for what’s to come. Absolutely no chance that’ll go wrong.

  6. I recall when London Mayor that someone reduced advertising spend. A man with blonde hair who ‘bonded over a love of Shakespeare’. Spent money on a bridge that was never built instead.

    Wonder what’s happened to him?

  7. Space x can launch you a rocket for $97mil = about £84,630000.

Soo how many rockets can they advertise space with out of the £930mil.

Why pay for a board when you can launch a few 🛰’s?
