The experiment is over. Truss’s ‘plan for growth’ is dead

  1. The plan is dead? I did not even think they had even started implementing anything yet. People that think you can tern an entire country round in a matter of weeks is delusional

  2. not really a “plan” for growth though is it. Especially given the fact that there is no real evidence that the pseudo economics they were spouting actually would increase growth.

The only “plan” for growth would be if that plan was to reduce growth, destabilize the economy and cost businesses and individuals lots of money. If that was the intention of the “plan” then yes it was a good plan.

  3. One of the most depressing things about our current situation is that we are so deep in the hole, we need 5-10 years of sticking to a sensible plan of any kind in other to get things back to normal. When you take into account the depths of corruption, the backstabbing, the media manipulation and the 24hr news cycle (all of which contributed to getting is into this rapid decline) it just doesn’t seem likely to happen, even if the best politician in history suddenly crawled out of the woodwork and became PM.
I think things are going to get a lot worse in this country.
