Seems like today’s news is a huge turning point after 5 years since her assassination. Degiorgio brothers finally plead guilty (not that anyone had any doubt).

What I found interesting was one of the brother’s outburst in court: “[we’ll meet in hell](https://timesofmalta.com/articles/view/well-meet-hell-alleged-daphne-murderer-starts-trial-outburst.987545)”.

Thoughts on what potentially happens next?

  1. Crazy to think it’s taken all this time. Just goes to show you how bad our justice system is and how much corruption there is.
    Mafia state no doubt

  2. I hope they get a good sentence and not just a slap on the hand.

But I wonder, why did they admit it now? Maybe they were going to uncover some stuff on other people in power? Hmmm …

  3. It’s ridiculous, embarrassing and really pathetic that the country is not coming together to find out and bring to justice the people behind this murder on the free press. The fact that the people who ordered this murder are the same ones sitting in power right now is insane and has a chilling effect on all journalists in this country.
This is a complete, utter failure and is an invitation for even more bold corruption.

Malta political system is not fit to be called democratic.

  4. I have a feeling this will either go two ways:

    1. the jeffrey epstein way
    2. out on good behaviour, dead a few months/years later

given that they’re guilty, they can be used as witnesses (and they already sad they’ll speak). and they’ve pissed off a lot of powerful people.

  5. Gangster shithole. Sad that it already managed to weasel its way into the European Union. This country is no better than Albania or Bosnia.
