Tory MP’s should be thankful Police are there in the first place. Some of the public are lucky if they get a visit/call back at all these days when reporting a crime due to the hacking to death of public services for 12 years. They all need to be fired into the sun.
Tory MPs fail to understand that a government is supposed to protect all its citizens from manageable harm.
These are not private individuals being protested.
They are public servants who aren’t listening due to dogmatic self-belief
Probbaly shouldn’t have got rid of those 20,000 police officers then.
…. They can always go and get better paid jobs elsewhere if they don’t like it.

So, they won’t pay up for the security that’s required (usual with big events due to the massive demand). Then, they complain that there isn’t enough police.
Also worth nothing – officers who have rest days (days off, a weekend to a normal person) are being cancelled purely to work this event. They’re not getting paid for it, they just get given another day back to take off another time. However, with resources as low as they are, they won’t be able to take that day back!
You can see why police morale is low. Additionally, when people think that there are plenty of officers at protests, so why aren’t they elsewhere – this is as explained above, because they have their rest days cancelled to work for free.
Yet the Tories stopped them paying for the overtime and instead made them take a day later in the year.
Also how fucking soft do they need to be that someone shouting in your direction makes you scared.
I wonder if being shouted at is more terrifying than having no food or heating?
