Greetings from Croatia!
I found an interesting car advertised on a Hungarian sales site ([https://www.hasznaltauto.hu/szemelyauto/x/x/x-18720548](https://www.hasznaltauto.hu/szemelyauto/x/x/x-18720548)). I’d like to know what the procedure is for buying a used car in Hungary and then importing it to Croatia. My understanding is that I need the purchasing contract, the COC document and the registration certificate (“forgalmi engedély“) in terms of documents, Hungarian export plates and a temporary insurance for the transit to Croatia.
Now, in this particular case the car is in Hungary, yet it is not registered and hasn’t been inspected in Hungary – does that mean that no registration certificate would be available?
Where do I obtain Hungarian export plates – is this a straightforward process which can be done without knowledge of Hungarian? Are export plates bought with a corresponding insurance policy tied to them?
Please do point out anything you consider noteworthy and thanks in advance!

The car seem like has lithuania number plate. Contact with the seller about it first.
