I’m currently working in spoons again whilst I’m between jobs. Last time I worked here was a few years ago and the contrast is vast. We now charge more yet bring in less money.
People get sent home early almost every shift. Shifts are dead. I mainly work weekends and they previously were hell, the bar would be three deep. Now you’re lucky if you’ve two customers waiting at once.
People will ALWAYS find a way to go to the pub. This guy can swivel. Spoons doesn’t have to be empty. We can already see people aren’t coming anyMore.
He doesn’t like it when you ask about his pals at Skegby scooter club. Lots of photos of him hanging out with one dude in particular who is covered in white power tattoos.
But then Anderscum is a racist piece of shit. He got elected on a brexit/anti immigrant platform…which doesn’t say much for Ashfield either unfortunately.

His whole “ayup its Lee here” schtick is for the benefit of local morons. He actually lives in a 6 bedroomed house with his wife and dog. Which hopefully he’ll be evicted from soon if he loses reelection. Although if that happens I can imagine him becoming a presenter on gb news.

How big a problem is 32 ‘Spoons being so empty they’re up for sale, on a background of already having sold off 10% of their pubs over the last seven years?
If the ordinary people of the UK can’t afford to go to Wetherspoons it shows that the working people are cutting back on luxuries and leisure spending.

The comment should be, “learn to expect a country in the midst of an economic depression when the cheapest and most popular hospitality branch is empty.”

This dickhead had the cheek to rudely tell a Channel 4 journalist that the matter had now been “nipped in the bud so you lot can get a proper job” during an interview about the Kami-Kwasi budget at the Tory Party Conference this weekend. The hypocrisy of a Tory MP telling anyone who actually works to “get a proper job” is just flabbergasting.
