Just Stop Oil protesters spray Aston Martin showroom in London’s Park Lane with orange paint

  1. I’ll be honest, I think they mightve lost sight of their goal a bit and are just going around vandalising stuff vaguely related to oil and the climate, then another group of them gets really confused and does the same because they others at least look like they know what their doing and its just ended up being a directionless fustercluck

  2. Vandalise the front of a company that sells low volume, low mileage accumulating cars whose fleet combined effect on the environment is extraordinarily small.

Not, say, VW who got caught cheating emissions rules on mass produced vehicles?

Also, vandalising Aston Martin? Darling please, have some decorum.

  3. Bellends without a brain cell.

    This will achieve two things.

    1) Aston Martin making an insurance claim and getting it sorted easily

    2) people seeing just stop oil as even bigger arseholes

  4. Are these guys being paid by Aramco et al to make climate protest look bad?

    Or are they just morons?

  5. It’s almost tragic how these groups take advantage of losers and talk them into commiting crimes for PR.

They’ll all be crying when they get convicted for criminal damage.

  6. What a bunch of idiots.

These people need to be studied.

What on earth does this get them?

Another day, another complete embarrassment by these misguided fools.

  7. ITT: People who would prefer to tone police and tell protesters they shouldn’t be seen or heard. Or that they think this kind of tactic is meant to garner sympathy.

  8. I’m starting to think these people are hired by Oil Companies to make climate activists look like complete useless fucking cunts…

  9. It’s just pathetic mindless vandalism now. Won’t be long till they are actually run over and serves them right. When they are blocking emergency vehicles they get what they deserve. If they want to protest they need to go and do it outside the Chinese and US embassy’s, but of course they won’t do that because they will be suitably punished if they did.

  10. They have a very valid point … governments not been doing enough for years … bit of a joke really

Change needs to happen fast but business & governments so slow

Tesco etc £6 billion profits but say 5 years to find solutions better packaging? REALLY … joke

5 years to make a paper bag that can be recycled … or share holders, low pay for workers & profits first ✅

  11. The saddest thing of all is that the Government is now announcing new plans to criminalise legitimate protest under the guise of tackling these idiots. Not only are these people turning the public against themselves, they’re turning the public against the nature of protest itself.

  12. This sub is as bad as facebook for boomer-esque commentary. There’s too many people here who simply can’t see the bigger picture. We’re destroying this planet. Oil is. Animal agriculture is. And yet people are losing their minds over spilt milk and some paint over a dealership that sells cars too expensive for most people here can afford. How about some bloody perspective?

  13. This one at least makes slightly more sense than vandalising art, the graves of British heroes, and throwing milk around

  14. I’d rather they targeted companies like this than stopping the everyman/woman from getting to work and the hospital etc like has been happening as of recent

  15. Pakistan: under water

General Population: k, probly sad or something

    Aston Marin: bad paintjob

General Population: HANGING IS TOO KIND FOR THESE NAZI WORKSHY MIDDLE CLASS ANARCHISTS

  16. I have a lot of sympathy for these protestors. When you think about how bad the climate crisis really is, in that it might genuinely kill billions of people, and you see how little is being done for it, then these desperate actions make sense. I’m not sure how effective they are, but I can sympathize with their need to do *something* about the situation.

Also. It genuinely makes me question people’s intelligence when I hear people say “Well those idling cars are polluting more so the protests aren’t helping.” It’s such a chronically idiotic thing to say that it makes me question whether I over-estimate where the statistical median is for critical thinking skills for human beings.

  17. I am all for this even though some people find it irritating… climate change is coming for us all in the end 🤷‍♀️

  18. I get everyone saying they’re stupid for their tactics but everyone said that about insulate Britain but they were right and now people are going to die because they’re houses aren’t properly insulated and they can’t afford heating. It won’t be long before just stop oil are proven correct

  19. It least Aston Martin didn’t have to pay a adverting agency 100k for its halloween window display.

If I was them I’d leave it on.

I call it “protest art” go electric with Aston Martin this year.
