Bit of context. This was on a ΣΤ homework assignment. I was raised that you should budgeting with 10% going to savings min and 15% room for contingencies emergencies so at least 25% margin below takehome. I know this is not always practical but kids should not be presented with assigments accepting they will be paycheck to paycheck citizens.
