Damn.
I’m always slightly skeptical when they report fairly detailed capabilities of things like this. Not in a “its not as good as they say” way, more “its probably better than they say”. They say it can track 24 tennis ball sized objects going at mach 1? I wouldnt be surprised if its more like 48 golf balls at mach 2 then.
Thry never give the max, but the save wear and tear general use average / to keep everyone guessing.
If you dial somthing to max you can reduce its life span, and run general safe limits most of time.
Like USS Enterprise when responding to 9/11 passed her normal long life everyday speed “Official” max Speed, and was a 90k ton ship outpacing all her escorts shaking, rumbling, roaring waters behind her and running to true full speed. (at this point she was 30-40 years old too!)
You do not do it unless required as greatly shortens life to push things to red line.
Aircraft same, you have general limits, thats designed to ensure air frame and engine life. Then you have max red line limit when shit has hit the fan.
Interesting, is this our ‘iron dome’ equivalent?
Definitely rather we have one than don’t.

Erm… isn’t this something that pretty much every weapons system does?
Make in Israel so it probably works, and only 80m quid. Not bad even from a peacenik like me.
Mach 1 is pretty slow for missiles, Mach 3 is not unheard of
What is this? Some Israeli shit we’re buying as part of our new *special relationship* with them? And the point of it is? Nothing, I imagine, except to butter up the Israelis, the only people in the world who want anything to do with Britain these days.
So we see Brexit Britain follow in the footsteps of Apartheid South Africa: a pariah state clinging to arms deals with Israel as its last solid link to the outside world.
