Worst analogy of the month
ok grandpa, let’s get you to bed
I am glad he is in charge of diplomacy
It’s a garden fertilised by blood for Millennia
guy sounds dumber with every statement
Europe was great 30 years ago. Now it is constantly shrinking, living standarts fall for years. Now China, India, Usa and Russia are the future.
Holy shit, never thought I’d see it. Someone in power in the EU is now slowly figuring out how the world actually works.
About a decade and a half too late, but hey, I take them as I get them.
I didn’t pay much attention to Borrell until one day, he debated Junqueras, one of the leaders of the independence movement in Catalonia.
Legit astounded, the man knows his shit and he doesn’t hold back any punches. The debate is archived on YouTube (they speak mostly Catalan and some Spanish, so turn CC on) and I highly recommend it just to see Borrell in action.
I may dislike some of his ideas but I’m very happy with him being the lead right now.
Very glad that the tide seems to be changing on this one. Mainstream left and right seem to agree now that our free, social and prosperous European way of life is to be cherished.
* Russia is a threat.
* Ultranationalist, Islamists and other extreme ideologies are a threat.
* China is a threat.
Let us come together as a European people and defend them.
So many people here offended on behalf of other people who might actually agree with what he says. Europe is a bubble of security and prosperity, so many people would come here if they had the chance.
He is right, but people will call him racist or something, just watch.
Borrell is just saying out loud what many think and know. If you look at how countries in Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan etc. treat women, sexual minorities, and non-believers, “jungle” is an appropriate word.
Just as a matter of fact: religious nationalists in Romania sometimes call their country *”Mother Mary’s Garden”* (!)
Great minds thinking alike
