Germans were so successful in teaching generations of their kids that war was awful (which is true) that now almost nobody wants to join the Bundeswehr (there are regularly articles in German mass media about it). Which would be ganz in Ordnung if all the world was like western Europe, but it isn’t. 🙁 Don’t know how they are going to solve this problem. German Foreign Legion?

In a few decades Europe went from “to be safe, we cannot let Germany have a serious army” to “to be safe, we cannot let Germany not have a serious army”.
Says a lot about Germans and the other Europeans.
