There’s something deeply flawed about the only path to an early GE being in the hands of people who would never call for one, in the exact moment that one is most needed. No serious person argue that this is a good system, where as the party plunges in popularity the more dug-in they become.
On the other hand, if we had a independently-elected President who could call for an election of MPs without risking their own position.
This is typical For the tories, let’s save the PARTY, they couldn’t care less about the country.
Of course, trying to oust a sitting PM to rescue the party is how they ended up with Liz Truss.
