“I don’t know if it’s the right name, but in the catalogue it costs 1000 euro(?), from the side of/with the eagle ” I can’t read the last word
OP, the note refers to a denarius from the Roman Empire. On the one side you have Vulcan, on the other “L.COT”, short for Lucius Cotta. Those should normally be cheaper than 1000 EUR.
whom ever find this note owns me a 1000 gold coins, if NOT it’s going to DIE in it’s sleep on Friday the 13 December 31 2030 … something like that or just a dry cleaning receipt.🧐
Just here to say it’s most certainly not L.COT. but L.CBT. You can discern it from analyzing conventional hand-writing methods – nobody writes an O like that, but there are damn many people who write B like that.
Denarius. 105BC. 3.6grams. Rome mint. Aurelia. Crawford 314/01 L.COT. Obverse: hd Vulcan r wreath. Reverse: Eagle thbolt wreath. Common.
Lucius Aurelius Cotta
I don’t know if it’s the right name but in the catalogue it says it costs 1000€ from the side of the opera/eagle.
L.SBT/2.SBT man this guy writes with his left foot or he was just drunk when he wrote it. Where did you find it anyway?
