This quote from the Guardian needs a little addition –

“I am absolutely determined to deliver…” blah blah blah says Truss in reply to each question.
She’s fucking shit, wow. I cringed through that presser, it was so awful.
It also highlighted how good Boris was at waffling through catastrophic events, because she looked like she was holding in a fart the whole time.
She comes across as a demented robot, programmed to respond to every single question with the same self-serving answer, but incapable of actually processing and reflecting on those questions…
She has been “promoted” so far above her ability it’s a disgrace. Any other job and she’d have been sacked as soon as her incompetence became evident.
We need a general election. The 0.3% can’t **again** be allowed to determine who is the PM.
(Yes, I know we don’t actually elect the PM.)
I will be so disappointed if they replace her with Sunak and people actually buy into the inevitable media spin that everything is now fine as a result.
I had £10 on her lasting till Easter, I didn’t think she’d be sacked before Christmas. No words.
Looking at the express…one of these is not like all the others. Even the sun had to sort of cover it…albeit I would need to crack out my glasses to read it!
If Jeremy Hunt is the answer I dread to think what the question is.
Seeing the cowardly UK press turn their venomous, spiteful hatred against the powerful, for a change, rather than attractive young women who have the temerity to become famous, or anyone who disagrees with their politics, makes for a refreshing change
Maybe the cringing, servile boot-lickers of the British press will turn their bile against their foreign, billionaire owners, who have corrupted British politics and are directly responsible for the appointment of Truss, next?
They had a vote, they should stick to it. Will of the people and all that. Anti-democratic to suggest people can change their minds…

All very well if Truss gets ousted but what’s the answer. What appears to be the tact at the mo is a Sunak and Mordant joint ticket but sure that could only ever be ratified with a GE.
Really all it takes is 40 disgruntled Tory MPs in marginal seats, knowing they are toast siding with the opposition to call a GE.
Take it she’ll be finished within the month even the Tory rags are getting sick of Tory bullshit
Is there a legitimate process for the public to enforce a general election?
She was an absolute imbecile before the leadership contest and the only thing that baffles me is why anyone expected anything different. My heart sank when I saw her name in the running. I’d rather the Tories were ejected for the next three terms minimum, but if somebody had to be chosen I’d have much rather have had Penny Mordant. At least she isn’t a complete moron.
The rules for General Election need to change. Tories are in complete chaos to the point where they need to keep changing PM and chancellor numerous times. They are allowed to do this because no Conservative is going to vote for a GE knowing full well it will lead to their demise. It’s turkeys voting for Christmas.
So the rules for calling a GE should be changed to either public deciding or some independent group. Anything but this system.
How the fuck can two people be allowed to come out of nowhere, take the two most important jobs in government, completely change policy ignoring all expert advice, crash sterling and almost bankrupt all our pensions, and we still can’t get rid of them?
One has resigned in disgrace but the other (who chose him in the first place) get’s to choose his replacement?
The next time we get a leader who knows what they are doing and takes the job seriously with the best interests of the country at heart, I really hope they will put some measures in place to ensure that this can’t happen again.
God knows when that might be.
I can see two ways things will go…she will wait and see what Jeremy brings to the table, if things don’t improve then she’ll go…or sometime next week, she’ll step down

I wasn’t sure where to write this but I have to get something off my chest
I’m absolutely dumbfounded by the incompetence of our prime minister and her (now ex) chancellor. How did we manage to get into a position where the head of our country and our economy have no idea how to lead. Before people blame the Tory members I’d like to point out that she was elected as an MP, the MPs put her in their top 2 and BoJo saw enough to make her foreign secretary!!
Liz Truss has no idea how to implement change and has zero respect for other peoples opinions, government institutions, Bank of England or civil service and is clueless on how to sell a vision and unite people behind a common cause.
Whether I agree with her ideology is irrelevant (in theory her mini budget made me better off) However, what I do know is that it doesn’t matter how good your ideology is, if you try to implement change the way she has then you wouldn’t succeed taking over a village fete cake and tombola stall never mind a country.
There I got it off my chest. I mean wt absolute f is happening!?!
Are we going to have to endure another conservative voting round. We should have a general election
