Lovely Lena!

Lena is a beautiful whippet who is now under the care of the KWWSPCA. She is a very friendly dog, loving life and loving everyone she meets. She is very interested in meeting our other dogs and we think she will get on well with other dogs, particularly whippets and lurchers that she could run zoomies with.

She absolutely adores playing and will chase a ball with joy. She loves to play football too!

Rehoming with another dog would, of course, be subject to a meet and greet. We don’t know what she is like with cats but generally recommend a cat free home for our sighthounds.

She is very good on her walks, and is gentle on the lead. She is only about 1.5 years old and can be a little bit jumpy when she gets excited, therefore she will be better in a home with older children, as young children can become upset by a dog jumping. She is an absolute sweetheart who has stolen the hearts of our volunteers, and we know she will steal the hearts of everyone who meets her.

Lena also came 3rd in our recent Dog Show, she won third place for Waggiest Tail!

Lena would like a home where she has company for a good bit of the day, as she is still a young dog. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and chipped (chip number 981020002391851, origin Ireland).

If you are interested in adopting Lena, please call/text 087 6887136 with your email address or email kwwspca.ie and an expression of interest form will be sent to you.

We ask for a minimum donation of €200 when we rehome a dog to partly offset our veterinary and other expenses. A dog licence and collar tag are needed to complete the adoption, a secure garden is required and there will be a home check. The Kildare & West Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (KWWSPCA) is a registered charity (Number CHY6280) and is registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority (Number 20011048). 1. She’s gorgeous! I really hope she finds loving home! No doubt she’ll be an amazing companion

  2. Oh she is gorgeous! Whippets are the best dog. Ours is currently fast asleep on the couch as once there’s a bit of rain she goes into hibernation mode. But bring her to the park and she’ll run around like a nut job, she’s great fun. The perfect all-rounder dog and they fit into people’s lives so easily. I’d jump at this if we were in the position to have another dog currently, I hope she finds a lovely home full of soft beds and toys as she deserves!

  3. Shes gorgeous! Im back living at home and we already have a dog so I cant take her unfortunately. I hope she gets a place soon!

  4. Hello, this is a bit off topic but I just rescued a lurcher last week and I’m wondering where you got Lena’s jacket? It’s lovely!
