Let’s be honest, it is a gimmick. The rocket is bolted to the 5th engine mount on a 747 and flown from a UK airport to where it needs to actually launch from.
Wake me up when they actually launch from UK soil, there won’t be many as polar orbits are rare and there are better facilities in the north of Norway.
