European Parliament calls for Bulgaria, Romania to be admitted to Schengen

  1. Imagine if Hungary or Poland blocked several EP’s resolutions (regardless of topic). If Netherlands vetoes again, it would only prove that resolutions given by elected EPs have 0 value in front of several countries.

    Two-speed Europe: a reality.

  2. FYI

“Schengen Area” is an area of mainly EU countries having abolished border controls
    within the EU’s internal borders.

Residents of EU countries not belonging to the Schengen Area (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland and Romania) are guaranteed the right to freely move within the EU’s internal borders, but have to show an ID at the EU internal borders.

The EU members Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania are legally obligated to join Schengen Area.
