  1. Oh no the country were there are slaves and exploit the Ukraine war to the point there has been reports about Ukrainian women trafficking is offended .

  2. *contribute to a worsening climate of intolerance and discrimination worldwide*

Riiiiight, must’ve been quite bad to be distracted from bombing Yemen.

What are you proposing, UAE foreign ministry? For Borrell to be flogged and stoned like you do to your citizens?

He’s not one of your slaves.

Judging by the reply he should’ve explicitly mentioned your country.

  3. >Borrell called Europe “a garden” and most of the world a “jungle” that “could invade the garden.”

I mean, it’s really not the best phrasing he could have chosen, but read in context it pretty clearly say the exact opposite of the potential racist reading of the above. He explicitly notes that just building a giant wall, shutting the outside world out, isn’t going to work, and that we need to engage with it collectively instead.

  4. I hope the EU mission head is able to contain the laughter. Protip to him: think of something sad while they are talking. Construction workers slave status in the UAE should work.

  5. A country that repeatedly enforces “if you don’t like it, leave” tells the EU not to express similar views.
