It’s not economists saying that, it’s pro-government and pro-status quo lads who don’t have anything substantial to add to the debate, and have even less empathy.
Aren’t government parties (specifically FF and FG) and their cultists the only ones who are saying that? I don’t think any economist would be saying “Sure it could be worse.”
