This guy seems like he’s pretty stupid, but there isn’t much point in having a dedicated cycle lane if a bus can just fucking park in it
The road design is responsible for this stuff. It shouldn’t be required for everyone to be a perfect cyclist / motorist to avoid life threatening injuries. The council are fucking useless and should have segregated cycle lanes on the quays a decade ago.
Glad he hit a bus and not a child or pedestrian. If you pulled the same manoever in a car you would be facing charges
So the stupid bitch who clung to the back of the luas gets a massive pay out, but the cyclist forced out onto the road by a bus stopping in his lane gets to pay costs. Clearly the hatred of cyclists goes all the way to the top :p
