Well, at least water-based paint is easy to wash off.
Thank god they wouldn’t use oil-based paint.
Were they after the Constable there?
Please stop oil use in the Uk. It’ll crush the economy but make oil cheaper for everyone else. The US, Russia and China have lower standards and could really do with lots of cheap oil.
Stop oil production, ok what alternative do you have for let’s say, your new phone, your paint, the shipping of your clothes, shipping of food, shipping of materials so we can function as a civilization past the 18th century
Weird how every “stunt” is just something that makes the job of a low paid cleaner more difficult.
She’s a 9 on the crazy hot scale, 6 in hotness 10 in crazy.
Well they aren’t getting away with shit from this point forward !
I’m torn because the MET are ignorant arrogant imbeciles that think they’ve got a right to push their agenda onto everybody else. And theres just stop oil who . . . . oh wait a minute !
Not condoning criminal behaviour, but this is far better than slashing tyres. It doesn’t put anyone in harms way, grabs media attention, and does not cause permanent damage to property or infrastructure. Could probably be jetwashed down in half an hour.
The Police won’t mind that obviously. What next? Defunding the Police?
The remind me in the suffragettes from the beginning of the 20th century.
But another historiclal parallel is that it is a civil rights movement (the right of the young generation to have a living and a sane environment) which also has huge economical implications, with deep investments in the state of things up to date. This is a common aspect with the discussion around slavery in the U.S.
Now they’re taunting the police. Tasers at the ready. Sorry coffee at the ready.
I’m all for renewable energy and weaning off fossil fuels, but don’t these pretentious middle-class protesters realise they’re just going to get people’s backs up?
Finally a protest that isn’t targeting the general public
Much preferable to the art exhibit protest. Good on them for having the balls to start shit directly with the Met TBH.
I get it, but I guess I don’t. Fuck I’m confused. On one hand I totally agree and feel compassion for them, but on the other I think it’s an idiotic attention grab. Oil companies are only doing this because they’re allowed to by the government. Do you want change? Then flood your town halls run the school boards run your local government, run your state government run your federal government.
Anyone can destroy a priceless piece of art or vandalize a building, but changing the policies is how you really fuck up the system.
Just my opinion.
