  1. This is certainly a valid point, but there is also a huge dependency from China on the EU and the US, who buy these products. The internal market in China has so far been very reliant on real estate and finance, both experiencing a massive bubble.

    It’s up to the West to diversify their supply chains to make them resilient to rogue actors, but the “threat” of China actively exploiting this dependency is largely negated by their dependency on the West, in my opinion. But hey, such a codependency didn’t stop Putin, so who knows in this mad world?
