Boy, 11, is Blackpool crime spree ringleader, MP says

  1. Tory MP regurgitating rhetoric trying to criminalise actual children in order to push stricter government overreach. Not surprised.

  2. “He said police attempts to bring the ringleader to justice had been compromised by children’s services, “who refuse to criminalise teenagers”.”

I mean, calling an eleven year old a ‘teenager’ is technically correct but it’s also slightly misleading. The word he’s looking for is ‘child’.

And if he wants to know why there are gangs of literal children terrorising British towns, he might want to consider whether the total decimation of public services overseen by his own party has had something to do with it.

But no, as ever it’s the overworked public servants earning a pittance who are blamed for massive social problems caused by Tory policies.
