  1. “In her first keynote speech on Thursday, Ms Smith signalled benefit sanctions could be ramped up further by the Tory government”…..wow…just….wow

  2. It really is incredible. I am hungry as I write. In fact my stomach hurts a bit. That’s because I cannot afford food, my benefit doesn’t stretch that far, so 3-4 days before payments, every fortnight, I don’t eat. I can make milk stretch those days sometimes, so I have tea or coffee, but no food. And in this position, I’ve been sanctioned (over a year ago) from having missed an appointment because I had no busfare. Now I know my life will be that much harder in the next year or two at least. Don’t know what the point is anymore.

  3. >Ms Smith said those being pushed to work could include those who are long-term sick – who have hit a record high of 2.5million.
    >
    >“In each case they might be held back from securing a fulfilling job that they want,” she added.
    >
    >However, she insisted she would also “protect the most vulnerable”.

How long until we see stories of the sick and disabled being sanctioned for not being able to do a ten-hour shift for Amazon? Despite every single report into the Work Capability Assessments saying they are not fit for purpose, and something like 70% of appeals against the DWP being won by the claimant, this fucking shower is doubling down on the most vulnerable.

  4. Totally despicable load of self-serving money grabbing bastards.

Billions wasted on dodgy ppe deals, useless track and trace app and millions of taxes not collected from energy companies and multiple corporations but they feel it is ‘right’ to take money from those in our country who struggle the most.

  5. We’re getting into proper Nero Decree territory here aren’t we. Slash and burn before the party is relegated to the sidelines for another 20 years.

  6. It’s a vote winner. Because the media has brainwashed people into thinking people on benefits are living it large while we go out to work for a pittance. If the poor are fighting amongst themselves they’re not paying attention to the rich fleecing the country for everything it can get away with.

  7. These absolutely evil cunts demonise “benefit scroungers”, yet make ridiculous claims on expenses for rent, amazon prime subscriptions, etc, etc, all while making at least 84 grand a year.

Who is the real scrounger here, Ms Smith? You bitch.
