Average years spent out of employment in the 5 years after first birth in France vs Germany

  1. I guess that it mainly concern women ?
I lived in Germany some years and I had the unexpected feeling that german society/system was more machist than the french one

  2. Putting toddlers at work is already disgusting Germany, but babies? WTF, France!

Joke aside, I would never have suspected such a difference.

  3. Might be because of a difference in child benefits?

I don’t know about France, but in Germany both parents can take up to 3 years off, with the first of those years being paid (but only up to 1800€ netto per month). Additional the mother gets two months off directly after birth, which are also fully paid.

Does anyone know which laws apply in France?

  4. Ben en même temps, en Allemagne on appelle les mère qui retravaille tout de suite après les “mères corbeaux”, donc bon, c’est pas hyper bien vu quoi.

ENGLISH HERE BECAUSE EVERYONE IS SPEAKING ENGLISH

In Germany, mothers that return to work “just after” giving birth are called “raven mother” (That’s not very nice)

Edit: notez sur 20 ma traduction
