Well to be fair Spain wasn’t unified untill the bourbons took the crown, as the kingdom of Aragob and castille were seperate, what’s called Spain by that time is a personal union

What’s next, Spain existed since the beginning of time?
I really don’t understand why Spanish nationalists can’t accept that Spain, as a modern nation-state, is a relatively recent creation. Like, there are other countries out there in the world who are ‘only’ 200 or 100 or 50 years old, and it’s fine, and no one cares.
