Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng insists he is ‘not going anywhere’ and is ‘totally focused’ on growth plan

  1. This is the kind of statement football managers come out with about 2 games before the sack.

  2. George Osborne just put the boot in on twitter, calling out the inevitable U turn that’s coming soon.

When even George ‘chop you up and put you in his freezer’ OSborne is justly calling you out, then you know you’re not long for the chop.

  3. Could he please stop focussing? Because the only thing his plan is growing is a feeling of general anxiety and a hatred towards Tories.

  4. What I don’t understand is that I recall talk of Tories wanting to oust Sunak for not delivering tax-cuts, without considering the obvious problem that we’d just been through a massively costly pandemic, but now they are worried about the obvious problem that tax cuts can only be achieved by borrowing money.
Also, do Tory MP’s hate their own party members, and wish to defy what they voted for in the first place? They didn’t speak out against these plans when they were being put forward as part of leadership campaigning to the party members.

  5. Question is, who will replace him?

Every other person you see on Sky defending their job is replaced within the month.

  6. The “growth plan” being his personal portfolio, of course.

Of course he’s not going anywhere when there’s 2 more years of market making and insider trading to be had.

  7. Allegedly his previous growth plan involved a part of his body that is very small for the average male BMW driver, and his now next door neighbour.

  8. The only explanation is there’s still people to milk money out our economy before the pound rallies again.

  9. The pound started tanking as soon as he said this.

This is after it had already started recovering from the drop earlier today when Downing Street said no more u turns.

If experience has taught me anything its that there are in fact u turns coming and kwasi is getting sent back to the backbenchers where the stupid fucker belongs.

  10. What he’s done is market manipulation

He’s not stupid the tories have done this on purpose so them and their mates can short the pound further, he should be in jail

  11. Simply because he’s had to _say_ that, I’ll bet any money you like there will be a different chancellor in place 10 days from now.

  12. KamiKwazi could be sent to Russia to take care of the Russian mini-budget. That could truly set Ukraine free and be the final blow to Putin.

  13. “I’m not done!” Kwasi shouted to thin air, desperate to hold on to his career, which had been in flames for the past three weeks. He couldn’t fathom that even his biggest fans had turned on him. From a simple button-pusher in room 532, to the Deputy Prime Minister himself! Not even the Narrator would take pity on him this time.

Goodbye Kwasi. Time for the next run.
