Any esports enjoyers here?

Tomorrow, the playoffs of The International 2022 starts (world championship in a game Dota 2). Slovak player Oliver “skiter” Lepko won the group stage with his team [Tundra Esports](https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Tundra_Esports) and is a first Slovak player to play in this tournament in 11 years (Czechoslovak team SGC who got there in 2011 as substitute because of visa issues).

Tundra looks like one of the strongest teams here and could get pretty far (if not finals). Btw prize for winning this tournament is around **8 million** dollars.

Do you know any other Slovaks with a successful esport career?

  1. Hi, I follow dota 2 and skiter is the only slovak pro player that I really know. I dont follow other esports so I cant comment on that, but yeah Tundra looks really good so far. Whether they will be able to transfer their form into finals is yet to be seen, but it would definitely be a huge success for slovak esport scene if skiter and Tundra managed to win the whole thing

  2. I used to play css and csgo. There was Guardian who was a pro and considered one of the best players in his prime i think he was from bratislava. There is now Frozen who is young and pro, 1 of the hottest talents currently and i also remember zero and styko but im not sure if they still play.
And ofcourse i cant forget about the legends Esuba who were known in all world from Counterstrike source with PhP and UN , guardian later joined this team. Probably many others i forgot

Also just remembered blizo , pro world of warcraft arena player.

  3. As a LoL fan, I was happy to see Neon playing for Misfits in LEC (european league) this year. The guy was solid and one of the two players on his team who were carrying the whole year. They were kind of close to qualifying for world championship. Sadly the team is disbanding so the future of Neon is a question, but I believe he will be picked by some other team.

  4. For league of legends you have basically only Neon from highest european league. There is few other players who play in lower eu leagues. They are not worldknown, but are being paid fulltime for playing from teams so I guess it depends on your definition on successful.

In trackmania there was/is tween and hakkijunior. There is not much money in the game so according to wiki they have career winnings only 25k or 10k respectively. But hakkijunior is former world cup winner and tween had some 2nd and 3rd places in world cup with some smaller tournament wins.

  5. From cs1.6 – old fu.sk team was top 1 in Európe around 2007/2008 where dev1 was an active players together with unreal, greg1, cheese,

    From csgo –

    Guardian, styko, frozen

From battlerite/bloodline champions – randler (dominated battlerite scene for a while and was also popular in bloodline champions. Had the honor to play with his team in one of the tournaments but got rekt by their arch enemies cause I didn’t have any experience

From trackmania – also randler (holds several world records) but mainly HakkiJunior or tween
