Wanted to read the article but was presented with a stupid fucking questionnaire.
When we also talk about the African slave traders who enabled the slave trade by gathering up there own people to sell to the whites. Only then it can be called “accurate history month”.
Or just “history month”. That would be much more interesting.
Some genuinely interesting stuff there, especially about the Nigerian troops in WW2.
However, I can’t help thinking that this campaigner doesn’t actually want an ‘accurate history month’. Everything he mentions involves Black people are oppressed victims, or as heroes or other generally badassery (escaped slaves who became pirates? Fuck yeah)
Would he be equally keen for lessons on some of Africa’s most brutal dictators, for instance?
