And the Tories are doing everything in their power to make it worse, this makes it easier for them to convince the public to accept privatisation.
The Tories will not be content until they have destroyed the very fabric of Britain.
3 weeks for an appointment at my local surgery
Same amount of doctors, same amount of staff, same amount of people in the village, same NHS budget
Years of deliberate under-investment from the Tories. They are hell bent on ruining one of the few things we can be genuinely proud of. They hate the poor and will try to eradicate all systems of social support. Their recent actions highlight that they will continue to help out their rich mates while ensuring the poor get poorer.
The public voted for this when they were telling all the foreign nurses and doctors to get out, as well as voting in the Tories who verbally abuse NHS staff at every corner, especially when they mention they want a fair wage.
Let the boomers receive shitty end of life care. they cause it and voted for it .
Once the queues in healthcare start to pile up…the country as a whole is dying. Everybody will be old, sooner or later will need health care so that is something that should not be destroyed.
Imagine working at the hospital, getting five minutes to raise your head and look out the door and see a queue of 7 million people waiting.
This is by design. Do not forgive the Tories for this.
And there will still be those people that heavily rely on the NHS still vote Tory rather than the party that got NHS wait lists down to all time lows.
Papers going all in on slagging the NHS today, i’m guessing this is the deflection tactic by the Tory controlled media from the utter shambles going on at westminster, Meghan and cyclists will be next.
I waited 18 months for an appointment about the surgery I need, only to be told that they don’t currently have a surgeon and that it’d be another 6months at least.
I assume this is one of the Brexit benefits…
roughly 1 in 10 people then ? terrible – and all by design
I wonder if they think “we’re 30 points down, we’re not going to win the next election, fuck it let’s privatise the whole thing”
Thankfully they’re so busy at each other like rats in a sack that they’ll never get any legislation passed.
Tories : *Have you considered paying our friends massive health insurance premiums for more or less the same healthcare you get now? Only the money goes directly to us!*
The tories want this so they can sell off Health to the private sector just as they did transport and energy.
Stand strong and vote them out next election.
Tories are wanking over this. They’re giving it one last push to 2025. Can they reach 1,000,000 kills by then? That would have them stroking over it for decades.
I had an ENT referrral and the shortest time in all the options I was given was 52 weeks – the closest place is 62 weeks.
At this point, the health system has collapsed.
How many will die before they receive the treatment they need? How many lives will be drastically altered because they didn’t receive treatment in time?
The only thing that the Tories are good at is increasing delays and missing targets; especially targets that were met by new labour until 2010. Theresa May reduced a&e targets and still failed miserably to achieve the lower target.
I have experienced private as a perk through work. I was in a huge amount of pain so had the op privately.
Never again thank you. Why? You drop back into the NHS for certain bits, like having stitches out, pain relief etc otherwise you have to go back to their hospital which is a pain in the bum if you can’t drive.
Secondly, the consultant wanted to do an extra op that afternoon and kept running into my room, rushing me to get changed, waited ages for pain relief afterwards because everyone was trying to do too much, it was horrible.
Why did that happen? He wanted to make more money.
Finally, I’ve seen the bills people get in America and I couldn’t afford it. End of.
Oh yes and one other thing. There are no staff. This gov has deterred people training for health care jobs so if people think nurses and doctors will appear – nope. They don’t have enough in America, let alone here.
Btw. I hate tories.
Whoever’ 7millionth in line won’t live to get to the hospital.
And only gonna get worst the longer those twats are in powerm who tf voted for these fucking money hungry, penny pitching shit stain people.
Then plus the millions more people who haven’t even been put on the waiting list yet cos they haven’t even been referred yet cos it’s impossible to get a GP appointment.
The anti-growth coalition have growths and there’s nowt they can do about it.
Here’s a piece of good news for Liz Truss. She has growth, growth and more growth in NHS waiting lists, I wonder why she’s not shouting it from the rooftops?!
Early September I got diagnosed by my GP (after blood test and x-rays) with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteo Arthritis in my shoulders. I had every major joint in my body screaming in pain until eventually put on steroids and heavy painkillers.
I was “”urgently” referred to a specialist at my local hospital because each day that passes I could have irreparable damage to my joints, best they could do was 1st December, my GP was even shocked, not long ago I would have been seen within a week or so..
So apparently Labour got it down to 2mil at one point.
Nice one Tories you really royally fucked it all up.
Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t think I pay enough tax, and would gladly pay more for it just to go solely to the NHS. They have been underfunded in real terms for years, it can’t go on.
I’ve worked in private healthcare. It’s grim. All money focused and not patient focused at all. They would step over a dying nhs patient to see the one with money. I used to help with NHS funded cateracts clinics, they used to squeeze them in 3 patients to every 10 minute appointment to really maximise the money they could claim from the NHS. They would fiddle figures to look like someone attended the day before so they wouldn’t breach targets (yes I flagged it, no one cared) . It was disgusting
Take for example The nuffield:- claims to be not for profit, yet their CEO is one of the highest paid in the UK. All the administration staff are on 20 hours contracts so they can do 4×5 hours shifts a week, so they don’t have to legally give you a break. They offer “employee perks” like a cycle to work scheme, but no one qualifies for it because you don’t make enough money…because all of the admin, clerks, outpatient staff are all on national minimum wage +1p so they can claim “they pay above Nat min wage”
