Enoch Burke’s mother, Martina Burke, has just been removed from the Court of Appeal. After the judge told her son he couldn’t grant him a hearing sooner than Feb 16, Ms Burke accused the court of being “corrupt”

  1. If he doesn’t want to be there, surely he can purge his contempt of court? He’s actively choosing this because he wanted to make himself a martyr – so be a martyr, go through the court system like everyone else. This is all by choice.

Edit: This is not a message of support – I’m saying he deserves every second he spends in there.

  2. This is karma for the Burke family. They’ve been aggressively litigious and hostile to progressive views for years.

  3. Many of the beliefs and behaviours of this family are unlikeable to reprehensible for me. The utter madness of their carry-on kinda makes me pity them too though.

They’re bright people, but so brainwashed that they’re going out of their way to ruin their own lives (never mind the people their bullying/conspiracy theories harm as well). It’s sad.

  4. A series of tweets from this chap were better entertainment than Fair City, not that that would be hard, in fairness.

  5. Do you think he was expecting to be let out before now. Its it a Mexican stand off. I’m not saying sorry ….. but back down and let me out….
nobody told the courts and they are waiting for him to fold.

  6. Doesn’t he just have to purge his contempt to be released? People are such martyrs to their own ignorance.

  7. He can stay in there permanently until he makes a full apology and offers redress to the school and the child. Sick of these bastards thinking they can treat others this way.

  8. Please starve them of attention.

Don’t post about them, talk about them, report in the newspaper about them.

When a toddler has a big tantrum. The more attention you give it, the longer and louder the tantrum goes on.

  9. Massive support outside Mountjoy at lunch time . I don’t know why the guards arent controlling the crowd.. of 4…
