  1. I wonder what goes through some people’s head can’t even use little bit off logic could’ve been worse if it was a gun sad day

  2. Wait, Americans have over 100 school shootings a year and like 7 shootings every day, and they stry saying shit about our rules? What in da f*** are people thinking?

  3. Seems like they feel their beliefs so threatened they are willing to use a tragedy as justification. Scummy.

  4. What a stupid statement. Restrictions on firearms aren’t intended to prevent all killings. What they do is make it more difficult. So there are fewer of them, and fewer people are killed each time.

Which is what we can see if we compare the US with any other developed country.

  5. We had one instance of a guy using semi automatics too… Were quite a bit more than five deaths that time…

(Also note that this one used target arrows because there isn’t any market for hunting arrows as bow hunting is illegal)

  6. Yes, people will always find a way to harm others if they really want to but the point is not to make it incredibly easy!

Just because I can buy a kitchen knife doesn’t justify allowing a whole society to arm themselves with flamethrowing tanks.

What a bunch of unthinking, blinkered fuckwits these people are. It doesn’t matter that a child could defeat their logic because it’s all about them, has always been all about themselves and will always be about themselves. God forbid they should ever have to consider something different to their tiny realities!

This is big news across the world because this kind of thing hardly ever happens here. The opposite is true of the mass shootings in the US which are hardly mentioned out of state because they’re so common.

  7. Americans being american, dont pay attention to assholes like that, they will always try to find a way to make their point valid even if its fucking stupid and disrespectful. Anyways sending love from Serbia! <3

  8. It’s funny, cause the archer thankfully only killed 5 people (or at least that’s the number I’ve heard so far) but almost certainly would’ve killed far more if he had his hands on an AR-15. If these idiots had had their way the “carnage”, to use their words, would’ve been far worse.

  9. If I could offer advice, as an American – America gun extremists are not worth engaging with. They know that the violence in Kongsberg is nowhere near the “the same carnage as that of a gun.” Pointing out the obvious will have no impact on them. Their real argument is that they don’t care how many people die in mass shootings, not to mention the thousands of people shot to death in regular old murders here every year. Our culture hasn’t degraded enough yet that it’s okay to say that out loud. So they say idiotic stuff like this.

Don’t get sucked in. You’re arguing with people who don’t care when 20 six year olds get shot to death in five minutes, or 60 people at a concert in ten minutes. I honestly think American far-right people are proud inside every time we hit a new mass shooting record. They literally enjoy seeing what guns can do to people. We have millions of gun owners who are normal, respectful human beings, but that isn’t the type of person who’s going to come here and pick fights with you guys right now.

I’m not sure a mass shooting where five people died would make the national news in the United States at this point. Even the Las Vegas shooting didn’t get as much press coverage as shootings where say a dozen people are murdered used to get. Because nothing any of us say about it matters, even to ourselves. So anything an American tries to tell you about violence sure as hell shouldn’t matter to you, either.

  10. Never take pro-gun people seriously. Over 2400 are victims (dead or injured) of mass shootings in USA in 2021 alone – so can’t say the gun law is helping them keep safe.

  11. For Norway, five firearm deaths is a tragedy and time for national unity and debates.

For US, tens of thousands of firearm deaths is a statistics and empty thoughts and prayers.

  12. Hey! Someone did damage with a less harmful weapon, so we should legalize more dangerous weapons to salvage the situation and make the world more safe! 🤣🤣

  13. The reason why this case got so big is because this litteraly never happen elsewhere. That is because of the strict weapon laws.

  14. Just keep in mind the US is a pretty big place and the number of people here that think Psychduck_Army_1776 and his ilk are idiots is greater than the population of all the Nordic countries. Polls would argue most of us would choose the same common sense guns laws that you have in your corner of the world if ever given the choice. Heart broken to hear the news today out of Kongsberg. Don’t let these bastards change your awesome country.

  15. I’ll venture a guess and you can go research and see if I’m right (and call me an ignorant idiot if I turn out to be wrong):

*In total,* t*he number of casualties and injured parties from the Las Vegas shooting alone outnumber the number of casualties and injured parties from mass violence incidents in the entire history of Norway.*

  16. The USA has a per capita homicide rate that’s more than ten times higher than Norway’s. They don’t have a leg to stand on.

We have guns in Norway. We just have sensible gun laws, unlike the USA.

Finally, a gun can fire hundreds of bullets per minute, depending on the make and type. A bow can’t do the same.

  17. I lived in the past 3 years in Norway, planing to go back again. It’s great country with nice people everywhere. Really sad to see this.. i hope they found that fucking douchebag immediately after attack?

  18. So his logic is pretty much, “look at what he can do with a much less powerful weapon than a gun, so we should be able to have guns”

    Dumbass

  19. I love that his whole premise is that archery equipment is ineffectual compared to a gun, yet somehow this is no worse than the outcome would’ve been if a gun was involved?

  20. LOL, Isn’t Norway one of the few European countries that guns are actually allowed tho?. they just treat it like what they are, tools, and not as objects for overcompensating your dick size, lack of personality and pretty much patheticness in general. so that’s a pretty bad example too.

  21. Jesus, as an American I’m absolutely embarrassed by them.

I’m so sorry for the loss of life and the folks that now have to live with the loss. Not to mention the new feeling for many of being/feeling unsafe.

    Love you Norway!

  22. Sorry my countryman is being so stupid. Guns can not guarantee protection or a quick reaction to a threat.
What happened is just a case if a man wants to murder people, he will get creative and find a way.
RIP to those that died. 😔

  23. This is why I’m looking into moving to Norway from the US actually. Maybe it sounds naive or like an American ignorantly glorifying another country but it really does look like a nice place to live. I would like to get a degree there too. There’s some really cool programs out there too.

  24. I apologize, some Americans are really stupid.

It’s unfortunate because these kind of people really bring down our country in every issue you can think of (not just regarding guns, but in healthcare, vaccines, even education), it’s kind of like having a cancer overrun your country. It’s disgusting to see this cancerous ideology being thrown at another country’s tragedy. Absolute scum.

  25. If it wasn’t such a serious topic I would laugh at people like this. This have freaking “active shooter” drills at schools because shootings are so common in the USA, yet they jump at every occasion something similar happens in a different country to say “see? If someone has had a gun they could have stopped him!”

Fuck those guys, really. I haven’t checked, but wouldn’t be surprised if there were more mass shootings per capita in the US since the beginning of the year than in all of Europe combined in the past decade…

Just checking Wikipedia, and there have been 470 incidents this year alone: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States_in_2021

Looks like guns really don’t solve the problem.

  26. As an American in Norway, sincerely apologize for this absolute fuck wit. Let’s just hope he and his circle jerk gun idiots are not vaccinated so natural selection can take it’s course.

As a Skyrim fan, we don’t claim him.

  27. Does that person realize that if the crazy guy would have probably been able to kill many more people with a gun?
