We need a nationalisation of all forms of accommodation. A space to live is a bare essential, a necessity. It shouldn’t be a form of profit.
Land lords should not exist. The fact they exist is a sign that capitalism does not have its priorities straight.

Unfortunately rent control doesn’t work in the long run. Look at America where we have decades of data available, the rent controlled areas are always the most expensive and have seen the highest increase in rents. It’s always the way with government regulation.

The fact that one person (or indeed private company) can own more than one house in the midst of a housing crisis is just wrong, no matter where you stand politically.

I have no sympathy for landlords. Mine has a 22 plate Bentley continental with a personalised number plate yet hasn’t sorted one thing that we’ve asked for in the property.
Hahahaha their buy to let’s are costing them now. I own property. But I paid for them. These creatures that have no intention of ever owning them but making profit are leaches. Blame the system though as an interest only mortgage was easy to get some years back. Interest has went up though and their rents haven’t. Fuck them.

The day after the rent freeze was announced, I got a message from my landlord saying that he wasn’t going to raise our rent. Trying to come off as the benevolent landlord. Seems he thinks I don’t read the news…
I feel so very sad that the government don’t step in and have rent control. It’s a beast of PROFITEERING that is making the poor go into huge poverty. Those that could afford rents are now being forced to moved to cheaper property .Affordable Housing should be a human right .
I hope these landlords win and teach the cave troll that is Nicola Sturgeon a lesson.
The landlords should all get together and say fine we’re not renting out the properties then.
The Scottish government will therefore need to find emergency housing for about 15% of the population.
How the hell would the SNP cope then?
Then I’ll move out somewhere cheaper and more affordable and no one will want to rent this place out because of the absurd cost.
