50 Days in Finland, and I am in love with the color changes in nature!

  1. Southern bank of Pielisjoki in Joensuu.

It was weirdly colourful ruska (autumn foliage/colours) this year, lots of reddish shades, best seen in pic three.

Also that place looked quite different just 10 years ago, [google street view](https://www.google.fi/maps/@62.5964299,29.7681081,3a,75y,217.38h,84.38t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s8WjhGCPtutTEqXMbt8PWSQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en-GB). And 25 years ago the whole area was a massive sawmill complex that burnt down in 1996, there’s still [a remainder “statue”](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/92/Penttil%C3%A4n_sahan_j%C3%A4%C3%A4nteet.jpg) left there.

  2. Wow this made me super nostalgic as I used to live on ‘that side of the bridge’ in Joensuu and have taken similar pictures while on the walk across.. no longer live in Joensuu so damn this somehow hit in the feels!

    Hope you enjoy Joensuu! 😊

  3. Get ready for some extreme cold weather. Honestly, I loved the summer in Finland but want to fly away somewhere else for Winters. Probably, a less cold country.

  4. I lived in Joensuu 13 years, I left 1995. I have been there yearly in Ilosaarirock since then ( not last two years) but I haven’t been a lot at Penttilä side or by the river. Still I recognised the picture right away.
