I was at that lake this year. We were at rafting camp Encijan, and host told us we could go on field trip to amazing looking lake near only survived oldgrowth forest in Europe and we were like: fuck yea! I almost died lol They tried to dig a road thru mountain half way to the lake, no way it could be done the whole way, but rocks fall on it so we had to walk. You can pay locals to take big bags and stuff on their horses. Anyway, you walk, nature is most beautiful I ever seen in my life, you can see for kms it is really something. But those rocks… At one point path is like 50cm or less of grovel and left to you it goes almost vertical up and right to you it goes almost vertical down for hundreds of maters. And you are always climbing or going down. It is hard. I live in North of Serbia where we do not have any hills, literally. In my town military had to make artificial hill for training. So it was hard. And then, there are parts where you go almost like on staircases. It looks like something that was waterfall hundreds of years ago. Coming back, I can’t believe my heart full of bacon survived that lol We swam in lake, had a beer that you can buy there. It was great, super fun but hard. If you are crazy enough, you can spent several hours more to climb on that mountain top from where I suppose pic was taken. Bosnians are great hospitable people and everything is cheap. Go raft on river Tara. I loved it.
Must Visit BiH
No offense for my Bosnian friends, but if I’m right, everything you can see on that photo is in Montenegro, Bosnia is on the other side of the mountain.
