It is not socialist it is a communism. Socialism can work and could exist side by side with personal ownership.
You could found different memorials to it victims.

“Like” is a bit of a strong word – it’s a relatively inoffensive reminder of what has been. Certainly a lot better than the occupation monuments the Soviets built in other places, e.g. those that are being (rightfully) demolished in the Baltics.
It’s part of our history and I would treat it the same as other historical monuments.
