This is inspired by another r/ireland thread which spoke about how toxic the Sky News comments section is towards the Irish.

There is a total lack of knowledge in Ireland that we are far from alone. For the longest time I dated a girl from Bangladesh and a few hundred miles that way there is a massive group of people that feel similarly treated.

We slept every night underneath the most amazing handwoven bedclothes you can ever imagine. Just the finest most beautiful thread. And I said… these are incredible.

She told me this is nothing… we could do way better than this before the British chopped our thumbs off.

So if you’re ever feeling down or outnumbered by sky news commentators… never forget… we are not alone in how we’ve been treated globally. If you want a political perspective I highly recommend watching shashi tharoor in action.

Why we haven’t hosted this guy to the most respectful session in Ireland imaginable and made him an honorary irishman I’ll never know.
