Troy’s declarations among those lost by county council

  1. > A spokesperson for the council told The Ditch they were “unable to locate all ethics declaration records for 2007/2008”. When asked how many properties it has bought from Troy since 2011, the spokesperson said, “There is no response being given by the council to that.”

    >Under the Local Government Act 2001 councils are obliged to keep these records for 15 years after a councillor leaves office. In Troy’s case the council should have retained the records until 2026.

Big surprise. The council lost all the records of Troy’s declared assets and any documents related to property deals they engaged in together.

Gives the impression he was trying to cover up his property empire before ontheditch outed him.

You’d really wonder what the rest of them are getting away with.
