Spain, France and Portugal agree on a new energy route

  1. So france just didn’t want to go through the mountain and instead through the sea where leaks could destroy ocean wildlife…. smart

  2. >In the meantime it was pushing for France to accept the MidCat project, which would have required the construction of **100 km** (62 miles) of pipeline to the French border.
Spain had argued that the extension of the pipeline could be completed in less than a year while **France said it expected the construction would take several years**.

Let me get this straight, the 100 km MidCat, whose engineering drawings are complete and can be build on land, takes too long, while a 350 km new pipeline, under water, and not a single engineering item for this project specified yet, will be finished in time to help with the energy supply issues?
