The UK Prime Minister was put in charge by her party after the last guy became unpopular. She tried during a time of mass inflation fuel problems and all sorts to give the rich massive tax cuts. The only reason this wasn’t brought through was because it dropped the value of the pound and threatened huge inflation issues. She resigned and the same party are going to chose somebody else (probably the fella who got put out in the first place) and pretend that it’s going to be different this time. The people will swallow it all like a bunch of plebs. They will be talking about trickle down economics in a few months.

Weather you like him or not he’s 100% right here. What Russia’s doing in Ukraine is horrible and they should be condemned for it but what America done in Vietnam or Afghanistan or Iraq or in many other countries over the last 100 years is also horrible. America has no morale authority over Russia. Lets not forget the only country to ever use nuclear bombs on a civilian population was America when they bombed japan. And they did this even when the U.S. president at the time was Harry Truman was told that dropping it at sea beside Tokyo would have the same effect as they would see the immense power of it. They done it simply to punish japan. About 10 years after the war ended they started propaganda that said they had to drop the nukes as this was the only way to stop the war without invading. When top secret documents from the time where eventually declassified about 20 years ago they showed that japan was in secret talks with America to surrender before the nukes were used. My point is the U.S. and Russia are both equally as bad. I dislike both.

Dreadful case of whataboutism. The UK, EU, US & NATO have done many bad things, horrific things even, but that doesn’t mean Russia isn’t committing acts of terrorism right now. I recognise the hypocrisy but there is no peace or “off-ramp” where Russia is concerned. This isn’t Ukraine’s suicidal crusade against Russia, this is Ukraine desperately trying to defend themselves against an invader and occupier who is actively erasing their culture and existence. This is something that two Irish people should deeply empathise with. What are these two gombeens trying to accomplish, what’s the end goal here?

Yep, we are (I’m not Irish), and our countries have done horrible horrible things. Putin’s still a cunt though. I’ll happily admit Blair is a war criminal if they say the same about Putin. In fact, I’ll say it even if they don’t, because whether one man is a criminal or not doesn’t affect the crimes of someone else.
It’s worth noting the US Govt has no legal definition of what terrorism is for this exact reason..

these two are fools, but its interesting that nobody cares about wars like the one in ethiopia with 100s of thousands of deaths and even famines. not discounting whats happening in ukraine, but nobody even seems to know or care about it.
They are about the only two reasonable people in politics. We should be trying to get between Russia and Ukraine ( the two most corrupt countries in Europe) not cheering on either of the sides.

NATO are not in Palestine, they were in Afghanistan under a UN mandate, same with Syria. Iraq was a shocking mistake but not NATO. Cuba Nicaragua, Guatamala, El Salvador etc were all US (and some other allies) activities and not under the NATO charter so to conflate the two is a nonsense. Yemen – western arms used there is horrible.
But none of this lessens the evil perpetrated by Russia – the rapes, murders, torture – on an occupied civilian population. And no bleating about NATO expansion (which was the result of satellite countries worried about Russian aggression) will ever justify it.
