Or have I fallen victim of yet another deceptive marketing slogan?
(It’s pretty good, but nothing fantastic for the price point 2.50NZD/100g)
It is not!
Laderach or Sprungli are real swiss chocolate!
Replace most loved with most sold.
Yeah, and above all… lädderach is the most swiss chocolate even the ethic and moral standarts from lädderach is swiss :/
Frey is the chocolate brand of the Migros chain. Given Migros is the largest supermarket chain in Switzerland, and Frey is relatively cheaper than the other chocolates they keep on the shelves (Lindt, etc) it makes sense that it would sell so well. It’s not bad per se but it’s certainly very far from being the best that you can find here
Try Taucherli if you like good dark chocolate.
Its like saying Coles Coffee is Australia’s most beloved coffee.
That’s probably ~~your~~ the number one purchase at Denner when the purchaser would otherwise be embarrassed that their entire cart is wine/beer/etc.
No it’s not
I just tasted that yesterday… its an insult to chocolate
No
Blondel in Lausanne 🤤. In Switzerland the best chocolate is not sold in supermarket chains but in chocolateries
idk i mostly just like the cooking chocolat cailler
It’s Lindt & Sprüngli all the way.
Well, it seems good to me but you need to go to a chocolate maker to get excellent chocolate
Villars is better.
**ICI C’EST FRIBOURG !**
Of course not
Caille
Not really, I’d say we’re more fond of Lindt chocolate
Buy Läderach and call it a day.
Läderach is miles ahead. Outrageously expensive; however, by far the best tasting chocolate money can buy
When I lived in Switzerland, my favourite chocolate was (and is) Lindt, but Frey is more affordable. I guess “best loved” means “most purchased”, partially due to being somewhat more affordable. (At least, it used to be, I’m not sure what the price is now.)
I prefer Läderach; the same extremly unique ans tasty chocolate flavors
I think Lindt chocolate is miles better than Frey chocolate.
But if you want to try the best “big brand” chocolate, try “Läderach”.
Frey chocolate in general is definitely a very beloved chocolate in Switzerland. Less known outside of Switzerland.
Yeah I agree that it’s the most sold for other reasons than the best (very convenient because it’s in the Migros, cheaper, large choice) but I personally really like Frey Chocolate, maybe not the plain milk (I find Lindt better) but Tourist, pistachio, Japonais etc, they’re really good
Nah. you should try some Läderach.
The variety of different chocolates available in the average Migros or Coop is hilariously absurd. There’s almost always an entire aisle dedicated just to like 100 different varieties of chocolate bar. In the US you go to a Vons or Ralph’s or whatever and you’ll find this variety in sauces, creams, cereal, beer, chocolate, wine, cheese, whatever nonsense you can imagine – to the point where it is just completely frivolous.
I kinda love that here you pretty much only find this variety in chocolate and wine at your average store 😍 the two things where I actually do want to “try them all”. Cheese is close behind.
Yes, like “Bud Light” is the most loved beer in the US.
Not because it’s good, but because it’s cheap and easy to get by.
Before I moved to Switzerland, Lindt. Now that I’ve lived in Switzerland for 20 years, Lindt. Don’t get me wrong, most of the chocolate here is excellent. It’s up to the individual’s taste. I still love Hershey kisses tho hehe.
