Hiking to Blåisvatnet. Lyngsalpene – Tromso.

  1. Blåisvatnet is a wonderful spot, and probably the most easily accessable pro-glacial lake I’ve ever been to/seen!

I’ve actually done a whole load of research in Strupskardet looking at the glacial deposits and trying to use them as age control to reconstruct the glacial history of other smaller mountain glaciers over the past 11,700 years.

The Lyngen Alps really are a wonderful corner of the world!
