Adults who run onto a picth to attack or abuse a child should be banned for life.

What could the mitigating circumstances possibly have been?

Sounds like a lot of roundaboutery and throwing of accusations with dodgy GAA findings.
Was it just some coach who jumped onto a pitch shouting at a 16 year old player on the other team? Or breaking up a fight?
Or did someone start beating the head off one of the kids?

Well connected to Westport money and sponsors. Which could well have been a factor. He got involved and deserves a ban closer to 96 Than 2
“A 96-week ban was handed out to the adult and Castlebar were awarded the victory, however, upon appeal, the ban was reduced to two games, while Westport were reinstated into the competition.”
This here is why there is no discipline or order in the GAA. I doubt even Liz Truss could reverse like the GAA.
