Jacob Rees-Mogg suggests BoE more to blame for market turmoil than mini-budget

  1. Dear Mr Rees-Mogg.

Just 5 questions from the late Tony Benn…

    1. What power have you got? 2. Where did you get it from? 3. In whose interest do you exercise it? 4. To whom are you accountable? 5. How can we get rid of you?”

…I look forward to your removal from office.

  2. I don’t see how Liz Truss can allow this, in her speech she was crowing about how it’s really important that the Bank of England is independent from government, i’m also curious to see what the Bank of England will do now that they’ve been blamed.

  3. Why does anyone listen to what this absolute spanner has to say about anything?

This man’s paper-thin veneer of credibility is entirely carried by his affected posho voice. Write down his words and read them without the ludicrous inflection and it’s easy to realise that he couldn’t outwit a stuffed iguana.

  4. He was spouting this crap on radio 4 this morning, I had to turn it off as I can’t bear to listen to him, arrogant patronising arsehole.

  5. They seem to be totally ineffectual, according to their own spokesman here. If this government is so utterly powerless to act in the face of global events, making nothing that happens ever their fault, why don’t they step aside and let somebody else with some gumption step in and run stuff?

  6. He’s a troll. He knows it’s all bullshit and says it just to rile people up, he’s a regency putin.

  7. I’m still as positive as I’ve ever been that the tories are all in the biggest multi million pound bet done down the local gentleman’s club. The person who is hated the most by the British public when they are finally dumped out of office wins the massive pot. That is the only logical explanation for everything since Cameron and brexit

  8. Urgh, I cringe everytime this odious Victorian worm opens his fucking mouth.

The people of North Somerset should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

  9. Total con artist

Thankfully people like rees-mogg have pushed it too far and seem to have lost almost all of their support base

  10. So wait we are on the side of the bankers now? I thought everyone hated bankers and the banking system? But now this sub supports them? … interesting…

  11. Jacob-Rees Mogg will blame anything as long as he’s never held accountable for anything he does. So, no surprise there.
