Hello all, title pretty much says all.
I didn’t realise the pre-pay machine ( A.J.M Service Station +356 2752 5200 https://maps.app.goo.gl/9P9QKoB7PUfNjkjm8 ) doesn’t give change.
It was closed. No staff in attendance.
Can I go tomorrow with the receipts and ask in person for my change back?

Archaic and cumbersome in a world where everything is done by contactless or chip + pin cards, but it works.
If you took the receipt sure go when the attendants are in and they’ll give you the change.
If you didn’t take the receipt go anyway and ask them to check the cameras and log (they take a log of the payment and amount dispensed) and if they’re an honest business then they’ll give you your change
Yes that’s exactly how it works, go with your receipt and they’ll check the cameras. It happens so it’s normal to have a process in place.
Happened to me several times, then I would go back the next day with receipt and get the rest from the owner. Nowadays I look for stations that have a credit card facility as you would be charged the exact amount you fill.
