And remember – this was common people doing – government didn’t do anything other than throwing money at the refugee crisis. Didn’t prepare camps/rooms in advance. Nothing.
It was the Polish people that did it. It was singular households that allowed people in. I have never been prouder of my people – it’s just the government we are unlucky with.
Ukraine really needs an ally close to home. They need yall! And it so happens that you’re a NATO member and EU member. So touching Poland is like touching home base. Out of bounds of Russia. I’m glad you guys were so welcoming of your neighbor and I hope relations stay strong
