    Why not ask the US for help, after all they’re actually waging lowkey war in Somalia *right now* and have been for the last decade.. and of course they had highkey combat troops deployed there in the 90s too.

    Funny how the Guardian just completely omits that bit..

  2. We and Europe have got our own problems to deal with. We have 2.5 million children living in households that have food insecurity/poverty.

    Somalia is a 99% Sunni Muslim country, how about asking your Sunni brothers in Saudi Arabia for some help? They’re rolling in money with the increases in oil prices this years, they even cut back production to make sure they get more $$$.

    Come to think of it why the heck hasn’t Somalia exploited the oil it is supposedly sitting on.
