I know there’s been a few hyped-up storms that ended up non events but this seems like the real deal. Yr.no have outrageous wind predictions, as do the MET office.
Edit – told yee! Storm Barra: ‘Danger to life’ and risk of flooding https://www.rte.ie/news/ireland/2021/1206/1265037-storm-barra-ireland/
Can’t wait for the flood of “but there is no rain where I am, met eireann have got it wrong” comments from about 3 o’clock this afternoon
Lads …don’t make unnecessary journeys k?
Wait till Teresa Mannion gets wind of this!
We were due a good storm
” Hurricane force winds will bring 10 Million Hundred spiders and a new Covid variant into Ireland this winter!”
Excellent flair choice OP
I give permission to formally open the celebrations, roses or whatever your choice of “disappointing but will eat them anyway” chocolates are
I’m buying stocks in Brennan’s lads
That’s some click bait shite there from d’Indo.
“Coming in like God sneezing from a hayfever!” might appeal to the aulwans who still read that august organ.
The flair choice 🤣🤣🤣
Might go out for a dip in Strandhill and put a pic up on Instagram to show how great I am.
Still putting the cats out though. You shit in the corner of the kitchen, you pay the price.
For all the cat lovers and downvoters, don’t worry, I was only joking but humour doesn’t really work well without the ole /s
Lovely, got to be in killybegs for 6am, should be fun.
Oh shit, hold onto something firm bois.
Barricade bars barbershops barring Barra’s barrelling barnstorming barbarism.
I’d love it to knock out the power for a few hours tomorrow, just so I can seek safety and shelter in the local pub.
I’m only extracting snow out of this title
Should we start a pool for how many eejits will need rescued by the coastguard tomorrow?
County death ray 😆
Ah lads my commute is an hour each way in back country roads do I just call off work tomorrow out of safety?? In Cork
It’s been a while.
I remember Ophelia looking out one window of the apartment to watch a wheelie bin battle royale and then looking out another window to catch the occasional spastic out for a morning jog in their shorts zig zagging across footpaths
Looking forward to driving from the West coast to Athlone and back tomorrow for an exam
Whole town is closed except my shop because:”Corporate determines if it’s dangerous.”
I, and one more worker are due to show up because we live close.
Didn’t know corporate are meteorologists now.
But we gonna close, bring Switch and play it.
This morning for about 1 minute was by far the heaviest rain I’ve been in of my life. Driving felt like being on a river, it was wild.
Yet the boss on my job wants me to go on a scaffold tomorrow 3 storeys high to finish off some building all because he has a crane coming in on Thursday
I have a few rocks ready to put in my pockets should I have to leave the house.
