It is a really interesting place. The town you can see now mainly have been built up around the canal for the last 10-15 years. I remember going trough the canal about 10 yeas ago, and the land was almost empty. The family rented a cabin in Sprangereid last year, and the difference was immence.
Now, my takeout of the place is how flat it is and large man made canals like this are fairly rare in Norway. It is a fantastic vacation spot, tho the views locally are not quite on par with other places in the country. But Lindesnes and Mandal is just a short drive away.
I’m a trucker and delivered to one of the stores there every day of summer for the past two years. Truly a beautiful place, made sure to always take my break down by the ocean to enjoy the view and sun!
